I lived in Blackheath for nearly 10 years and loved it there. Great transport links, big open spaces and a proper village, unlike these new Leyton Village or Hackney Village places that seem to spring up nowadays.
Trouble is it's v expensive so had to move a bit further out once I wanted to buy somewhere rather than rent.

The east London line extension has made SE London a lot better prospect. Beats using the fragrant green line as a commute

I live in a perfect spot where Urban South London turns into leafy Suburban South London and I'm in Zone 2 - Camberwell
Brixton, Dulwich, Herne Hill and the youthful delights of Peckham are all within walking distance and loads of beautiful parks 5 (FIVE!!!) within a 15 walk of where I live - proper Edwardian/Victorian landscaped parks not pissing grounds which are ex-bomb sites either...

I live in Blackheath and it's a piece of piss getting to work and to West Ham. It's also really nice and much better than anywhere I lived north of the river

Hardly a surprise is it, considering most whites moved away from East London to get away from all the ethnics to those sorts of areas.

Loads of West Ham around Dartford way.
Kent/SE London is more West Ham than a lot of east London.
Fact.

Bird I work with is working from home (and yesterday) as she reckons there are over running engineering works from the weekend.
She lives in Dartford and must think we were all born yesterday.
Typical weak, Kent, Millwall cunt.

South London isnt one huge homogenous pile of efluenent. Its a huge variety of stools many of which are equally comparable to the similar looking stools in North London. Unless you live right in the centre like Mayfair or Soho.

Transport sarf is so much better than it was when I was lad
Hardly ever crossed the river, back then if you did it was on a bus.
As kids we'd shudder as the bus went over the river

I live in Borough, Mrs lives in Tooting Bec.
Will most likely be moving back to Wanstead shortly, but I'd rather stay where I am.

Crawley. Love it here and a joy to commute from Three Bridges to City Thameslink.
Beats Collier Row to Liverpool Street any day.

I crossed the Thames and moved to East Sussex and fucking love it. 80 mile round trip in the car to work cannot overshadow the marked improvement in quality of life.
